Stock and Option Trading For Fast Profits

Understanding Stock and Option Trading

For many starting their own business is the ultimate goal. Leaving the 9 to 5 grind and enjoying the work at home lifestyle is the mission. Stock and Option Trading is the perfect vehicle to support your goal. However, you need to turn yourself into a competent and successful trader.

Stock and Option trading follows a set of rules, strategies and fundamentals that you need to learn if you want to be successful. It is not as complicated as it may sound. Stocks options trading follows consistent fundamentals that you can learn here.

Options Trading Simplified.

With options trading one can make money even if the market goes down. However, there is an expiration date that all traders are required to follow. So an investor can determine the high or low price of an options contract within a specific time frame. The trader is then able to appoint the high or low price. Changes can be made in the prices especially when the market proves to be unstable. At the same time, higher prices can be assigned when the market is seen to be doing well. Since there is a targeted span of time for the expiration of the stocks, the investor is allowed to explore opportunities that entertain flexibility, particularly in line with the predetermined outcomes of the market.

Option contracts are structured differently in different countries. In the United States of America, one option refers to about a hundred underlying shares. Meanwhile in Australia, the single option covers multiples of about a thousand of underlying shares. Since the trading is supposed to be done within a short time period, there are higher chances of collecting huge returns. On the other hand, just as when the market is unstable, the very nature of this trading likewise opens up probabilities of larger losses.

Explaining the Nature of Stock and Option Trading

The options can either be traded in groups of similar stocks or in singles. Here is the catch. The trading of single stocks is able to actually create higher risks of volatility because a single firm may be pursued by a variety of factors. Meanwhile, by trading in groups, the volatility is removed. In the end, the group itself ends up being rewarded. Setting up your portfolio is key here.

More than investing a certain amount of money and taking educated guesses regarding the status of the trading market, you are also required to be familiar with the rules and standards of trading. You need tools to help out in determining the existing market trends. You have to be equipped with a solid set of guidelines that will surely protect your investment. Good news is that there are many resources available to allow one to learn the strategies, fundamentals and tactics that others are using to be successful in stocks options trading.

More than ever, options trading is yet another rewarding opportunity that can enrich your financial standing. It’s a system that allows the generation of profit in line with the investment made. There are a couple of techniques to apply so you should get the hang of it. Hard work, patience, and a lot of education are all you need to exercise successful stock and option trading results.

Where to start with stock trading?

Question by Dustin Y: Where to start with stock trading?
I am currently a university student interested in low-risk, low-reward stock options. I am not planning on investing more than a few hundred dollars at most. I merely want to “learn the ropes” if you will.

With this being said, I have no prior education in stock trading and have no idea where to start. I know there are plenty of online services out there, but I don’t know which one to pick.

Where should I start with stock trading?

Those ‘options’ are contracts that can impose an obligation.

Free Stock Trading Education – Learn How to Trade Stocks and Stock Trading Advice Watchout for Stock Trading Newsletter Stock Picks and Stock Tips

Stock traders are always looking for free stock trading education.  There are a ton of them out there and they are generally free for a reason. Many times traders find themselves in a fancy hotel attending a 2 hour free seminar where many attendees have told me they are provided a lot of fancy charts and sales pitches but they lacked the educational building aspect of the free stock trading education being offered.

The real goal of these programs is to get you to sign up and start and continue paying long term education fees to them while they have no financial interest in your success outside of you having more money to pony up for their stock trading programs. The truth is, anyone can teach you a trade after it’s already happened. Think about it. You could say, “Hey you should have bought down here and now that it’s bounced I can draw you a support line.” and “You should have sold up here because now that I’ve seen the stock has dropped I can draw a resistance lines and show you how the indicators followed.” The bottom line is there are plenty of free stock trading educations being offered on the internet, but they lack the expertise needed to successfully make you money consistently over time.

Stock Market Volatility has a funny way of shaking out even the best stock market traders. Sure, people get catch a trend on a stock or option and get lucky a few times, but the strategies that worked well in one month suddenly are terrible in the next. At the StockMarketFunding.com Pro Trading School we teach our students using precise mathematical dollar price formulas that are designed to keep you 1 step ahead of the market maker and the long term moves before they happen.

This is why we were able to tell the world in 2007 to expect 3 consecutive downward corrections of 15% in the S&P 500 before the trading year started. For this same reason we were able to call the March 2009 Stock Market Lows and positioned our traders in some excellent long term options and equities.

Have you ever seen a stock gap up only to buy the breakout and have the stock drop .50 after you buy it? Have you ever seen a stock disappoint on it’s earnings and the stock goes up? There are many confusing things that happen in these markets and how stock market trading formulas are designed to provide you with accurate entries and exits on both stock and options trades.

To the Learner in Option Trading

For anybody who may be just a newcomer in option trading and just starting out on your education, we offer a few important tips for you. If you accept them, they may mean the difference between sizeable and ongoing profits and wiping out your entire trading capital.

What I’m about to explain to you, comes from a person who has cleaned out his hard earned money in the past – and I just want to share with you reasons why such things happen, with the hope you can avoid the same pitfalls.

The markets are a very powerful ally if you treat them with respect, but when you imagine it is possible to outsmart them or ignore what they’re telling you, they can financially kill you. They are huge and there’s plenty of room for everyone, nevertheless, you must be mindful of the risks and be well prepared for them.

So … here are the most crucial things a newcomer to option trading needs to know.

It’s All About You

You will need the right frame of mind to approach trading the markets. Since option trading is a heavily leveraged product, the spectacular profits you can realize are offset by considerable losses should you choose to ignore it when things don’t work out as anticipated. Things will invariably go wrong. You’ll never get every trade right. It’s no different in any other form of traditional business – some sales are profitable, others are not.

If you’re able to view it in this manner, that you are in a business (not just a part time hobby) and therefore all transactions you undertake are in accordance with an overall strategic plan, you will have a much better chance of being successful. Most businesses fail within the first year of operation, mainly because they fail to plan carefully and understand how they are going to use their financial resources to produce a profit. Your resources are your trading bank. You are buying and selling for profit. When you neglect your business (ignore your trades with the hope they might fix themselves) it’s just like forgetting your customers and expecting they will serve themselves.

Experienced traders always say to the novice in option trading, that 90 percent of trading success is about psychology. How well you handle the decision to get into a trade and how you choose to exit are vital elements for success. Would you hesitate to “pull the trigger” once you see a good setup, then regret it later when you see the outstanding results you missed out on? Are you finding it hard to accept that you have been mistaken about a trade and cannot come to grips with accepting a small loss?

You need to be able to be honest with yourself about these things. Know who you are and what trading style you’re better suited to. Are you a day-trader? Can you handle the pressure? Perhaps you are better off as a short term trader? Or when your every day life is otherwise demanding, perhaps a longer term investment approach might better fit your style?

Different Strokes for Different Folks

You will discover different trading styles you’re able to use with option contracts. Some are high risk, high reward, while others low risk but lower returns. Are you looking for 50 percent return on your trading bank each month, or would you be satisfied with just 10 percent? Whatever your response, how does that fit with the amount of capital you have to trade with and is that able to satisfy your financial objectives?

0,000 on low risk positions bringing an average 5 to 15 percent monthly is much easier and more manageable than ,000 on high risk trades looking for a minimum 50 percent per month.

Educate Yourself

Maybe when just beginning in option trading, you’ve read some books about technical analysis of stock charts and feel persuaded you’ll be able to predict the short term direction of stocks. You’ve heard that utilizing options you can make money whether or not the stock is rising or falling – call options profit when it’s rising and put options increase in value when the underlying is falling. Too easy!

But are you aware there are some much more advanced option trading strategies available, which enable you to generate a good return from stocks so long as they remain within certain price boundaries until expiration date … but even if they don’t, you can simply adjust your positions to turn a losing position into a profit anyway? The Iron Condor is one such strategy – two credit spreads facing opposite directions with an exercise price gap in between. Beautiful for making a nice gain within a to trading range over one to two months.

The novice in option trading is generally enthusiastic about future possibilities. I remember I was. You’re going to be financially free, earning as good as your old job. You’ve seen the light. You can fire your employer and work just one hour each day instead of toiling away for 40 hours per week. No doubt you’ve heard the “sell”. Sounds so great doesn’t it.

And indeed, all the above can be real . . . IF you take it seriously, build a passion for it, think of it as a business rather than a distraction, educate yourself properly and recognize how and when to adapt each strategy to market conditions in a way that minimizes risk and maximises profit.

Many option traders are earning a very good living. Others have swiftly destroyed their financial capital so are very disillusioned. Like anything worthwhile, it doesn’t come easily – but once it does, the benefits are worth it. If you’re a  beginner in option trading, jump on board for the exciting journey ahead.
