Do you get dividends if you hold options?

Do you get paid dividends if you hold an option on a stock? If not, what is the best strategy for trading and/or exercising these options?

    No, dividends erode option price.

    No. You have to exercise them so they become held stocks. Call options only hive you the guaranteed right to buy the stock.

    No you do not get dividends. Dividends are only recieved if you own a share.
