Is Etrade pro good for day trading?

I have an account with Etrade and would like to get more involved with day trading. Is Etrade pro a good program to use for day trading stocks, options, and futures?

    I tried a bunch of programs/platforms before I settled on the ones I liked. I would suggest you do the same. I’m guessing there is a trial offer for the program, and that should be all you need to get a feel for it. I like thinkorswim’s thinkDesktop and ninjatrader personally

    As for trading in general, if you aren’t an experienced profitable trader I would suggest you paper trade or be extremely cautious just starting out. Day trading is a very different environment, namely: zero-sum game, commissions are a factor if you are starting with low capital, it’s emotionally stressful, and people/things that have more money and more market experience and smarts than you do (banks, pro traders, machines, etc.). Make sure you know what you’re doing.

    I have never used it myself but from what my friends told me that they’re happy with the fast transaction time.
